- We collect food for the pantry every Sunday. Please deposit your donations in the basket in the narthex. In addition, St. David’s commitment for volunteering is the first Saturday of each month. Our next scheduled day will be Saturday, September 4th. If you are interested in volunteering at the pantry please contact Michael Sheldon at 353-5836.
Self Study Committee Meets - Wednesdays, Aug 25 - 7 pm - In order to move us along through the self study and profile process towards choosing a new rector this committee will be meeting every two weeks. Please speak with Sue Hurn if you are interested in being involved in the process. See the listing in the narthex for the members of the committee.

If you had a sitting and did not get your copy please check the narthex or speak with Beth Hammond in the Parish Office. There are still copies available if you did not have a sitting and would like to purchase one for $5.

blank pages is located on the small table in the back of the church prior to
each service. If you’d like to add
special prayer of thanksgiving to the Intercession please do so prior to the

Back to School Clothing Sale - Friday, August 27th 4 - 8 pm and Saturday, August 28th 8 am to 1 pm - Cleaning out your closets? Kids outgrown their clothes? St. David’s will take your gently used clothing (of all sizes) if you need to get rid of them. We will be having a Back to School Clothing Sale for Men, Women and children of all sizes here at the church in the upper hall. As with the Tag Sale - you can leave your donations on the stage in the upper hall any Sunday or during Parish Office hours Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 9 am to 1:30 pm. Please see Evie Bain if you are interested in helping out or if you have any questions ALSO: SHOPPING BAGS NEEDED: If you have any handled flat bottomed shopping bags (or large gift bags) that are slightly used and you would like to get rid of them please drop them off on the stage. MISGIVINGS - Friday, August 27th - St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church - 7 pm - 35 Lower College Rd, Kingston - 7 pm: Hors d’oeuvres, Pastries & Beverages - Showtime 8 pm Join St. Augustine’s in welcoming Father Patrick Aloysious Misgivings for a presentation of stories about growing up Catholic. This hilarious interactive comedy includes a collection, a raffle and even an actual Bingo game. Tickets are $15 - please call church office at 783-2153.
Epiphany Meal Site - Saturday, August 28th - 2 - 6 pm - St. David’s is slotted to cover the Epiphany Meal Site on this date to set-up, serve and clean-up a meal for the homeless. Several people have stepped forward to volunteer but, we will need at least 2 more volunteers to staff the meal and will meet here at the church around 1:30 pm to travel there together. Sunday School Registration - Ministry Fair
- Sunday September 12th - Mark your
calendars. On the 12th
of September, we’ll have a Ministry Fair, registration for Sunday School, and a
potluck cookout outdoors, all following the 9 am Eucharist. Look for a sign up sheet in the narthex
in early September, as we’ll need to have both a head count and a sense of what
food people will bring to share.
Weekly Memorial Flowers
- You may dedicate the flowers on the altar
or the sanctuary lamp each week to the memory of a loved one or to celebrate a
special occasion. Please fill out
a Flower/Lamp Memorial form (found in the narthex) and either drop it in the
plate with your check or mail it directly to the Parish Office. As a guideline flowers are $35
and the lamp is $15.
On the day of your flower memorial you are encouraged to take the
arrangement to bring to a loved one’s grave or elsewhere. Please make note that you will be
taking it in the space provided on the form if that is the case.
St. David’s Preschool
- Fall 2010 - The Preschool is still taking
registrations for this Fall. They
have classes on Mon - Wed - Fri for 3 & 4 year olds. Extended hours are available, small
classes, fully certified. Please

Episcopal Church Women Spiritual Retreat - October 15th & 16th - At Canonicus Retreat Center in Exeter with Guest Facilitator Ann Marie Hood, nationally acclaimed author of many novels. Please join the ECW in welcoming Ann Hood at the picturesque woodland setting at Canonicus Retreat for a program of fellowship and reflection. Retreat fee is $120, with a deposit of $35 due with registration by September 24th.
