End of Summer Celebration - Sunday, September 11th - after 9 am service
This year to honor the 10 year anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11 we will be doing something a little different. We will still have an outdoor function with fabulous food but, instead of the congregation donating the food we are asking you to bring items to include in a care package for some of our troops that are in Afghanistan. We will be looking for Snacks/Food, Toiletries (both Travel and Regular size) **Please No Hotel Samples** and School Supplies for the soldiers to pass out to the Afghani Children. PLEASE SEE THE COMPLETE LISTS POSTED IN THE NARTHEX AND LOWER HALL! Sign up sheets for the picnic will also be posted in the narthex to give us an idea of how many to prepare for. Please give what you can and help us with this worthy project.
Back to Regular Hours - Sunday, September 18th - Summer Hours will end September 11th so starting on the 18th we will return to one 8 am service and one 10 am service with Sunday School beginning at 9:45 am in the Upper Hall.
WANTED: STORYTELLERS - Sundays, starting September 18th
As many of our Sunday School parents know Mr. Durfee had a tradition of telling a bible story to the Sunday School children at 9:45 each week as they were arriving. We would like to continue the tradition but, we need your help. Stories will be assigned each week from a Children’s Bible and we ask that you arrive by 9:30 on your assigned day to review with Stefanie if necessary. If you are interested in signing up for a Sunday please see the sign-up sheet in the narthex or speak to Stefanie Dodge or Ann Pellegrino directly
Grannies Attic Items needed - starting now!! A big part of our Bazaar each year is the Grannies Attic (Tag Sale). We need your donations. Place your gently used items on the stage in the upper hall any Sunday between 7:30 & 11:30 am. No Electronics please! You can also drop items during Parish Office Hours: Mon, Wed or Fri from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm . Please see Evie Bain (946-0801) if you’d like to help!
ALL PARISH MEETING - SUNDAY, SEPT 18TH after 10 am service
The Vestry invites you to an All-Parish Meeting on Sunday, Sept. 18th after the 10 am service in the Upper Hall. They will be discussing the path traveled over the last 12 months that brought them to our current situation (in regards to merger). After a brief presentation from the Wardens & Vestry there will be a Question and Answer period for those with concerns or questions. Please bring your favorite finger food to share and the parish will provide the beverages. JOIN US!!
FLU SHOT CLINIC - SUNDAY, SEPT 25TH - 8:30-11:30 am
The VNA of Care New England will be administering Flu Shots for adults 19 and older here at St. David’s-on-the-Hill from 8:30 to 11:30 am on Sunday, Sept 25th. Please bring all Insurance Cards you have so they can determine your cost and submit to your Insurance company. For additional information about seasonal Flu and VNA of Care New England visit:

St. David’s Youth Group Meets - Sunday, Sept 25th - 5:30 pm
Please join Stefanie Dodge for the start of another program year. Youth ages 13 (7th grade) and up are welcome at this meeting of food, fun and fellowship. If you are a parent of a youth group member and would like to supply a meal for them one week. Please speak with Stefanie.
Cranston Episcopal 4Church Meeting - Sunday, Sept 25th - 12 noon
We have been meeting over the last five months with the leadership & clergy from the other three Cranston Episcopal Churches. This month we are opening it to any from the congregation who may be interested. This is a potluck luncheon so bring your favorite cold dish to share in some good food & fellowship with our Episcopal brothers & sisters here in Cranston! Basic Yoga Instruction - Wednesdays - 11 am - Upper Hall
Please Join Emma Nahod on Wednesday mornings (outdoors weather permitting) and for a small fee ($10 payable directly to Emma) she will lead a gentle basic instruction of yoga for all ages. If you haven’t tried it yet please join us now. We have a small but, loyal following!
