Priest-in-charge, Church of Our Saviour, Monroe, wa ~  2008-2011

Re-vitalized small, rural congregation through focus on youth and young family ministry.  Doubled average Sunday attendance. Planned and facilitated conversations with neighboring Lutheran parish to form federated congregation.

Vicar, Trinity episcopal church, hampton, nh ~ 2000-2008

Re-vitalized small, family-sized congregation, doubling budget and tripling average Sunday attendance. Established Sunday School, youth group and adult education programs. Re-established parish’s mission to the needy through a food pantry, soup kitchen, counseling center, community center, nursing home visitation, and a transportation network for the elderly and disabled. Led growth from a diocesan supported mission to a self-supporting parish.

Associate rector, trinity episcopal church, newport, ri ~ 1998-2000

Served historic, program-sized church with particular focus on pastoral care, youth and single adult ministry. Created parish outreach ministry to area nursing homes. Provided stability and oversight during rector’s resignation and parish’s transition to a new rector.

chaplain, hospice of northern virginia, arlington, va ~ 1996-1998

Served as chaplain in 18 bed hospice house. Provided pastoral care to individuals and their families facing end-of-life issues. Created inter-faith worship services. 

Bereavement group facilitator, seacoast hospice, exeter, nh ~ 1992-1995

Created and co-facilitated a bereavement group for young widows and widowers. Facilitated a bereavement group for children ages 5-17 who had experienced significant loss in their family.
